An ulcer in a cat's eye, the question about surgery?
My ragdoll cat 1yr old mothers had an ulcer in the left eye. There 3 weeks they had to be sewn so that it would heal, wondering if anyone else has had to do for their cat and if surgery (eye closure) was a success and how the cat was subsequently? It becomes the eye open today but was just curious how many cats go through this.
I had this happen to a kitten I found. He had ulcers in both eyes. Took him for veterans and stitched again to silence. I do not know how bad eye cats, but this kitten was blind. The operation was to save the last minute vision he had left. He ended up being blind in one eye that the vet had already known it can not help him and the other side had saved his vision. Everything depends on how long the ulcers was happening before treatment occurred.
