How do I find the solution exactly as a mixed number?

To replace a marble door that is rectangular solid and measures 76 2/3ins long 41 1/4ins wide and 1 3/8in thick. How many cubic inches of marble will be needed?

Convert each of 76 2/3, 41 1/4 and 1 3/8 to improper fractions:
76 2/3 = 230/3
41 1/4 = 165/4
1 3/8 = 11/8

Multiply the fractions and reduce to lowest tems:
230/3 * 165/4 * 11/8 = 417450/96 = 69575/16

Convert the fraction to mixed form:
69575/16 = 4348 7/16 cu. in.
