Metal Gum
false tooth glued directly on my gum not attached to a bridge or something.?
My dentist did a root canal but the tooth broke anyway. He makes a false tooth with a tiny metal post in it. He then cemented the tooth directly to my gum. Not any teeth adjacent. Not a bridge. Is this normal practice? Will it hurt the gum? Is it because it's standing fell twice. I can not find anyone who has ever had a tooth stuck in the soft tissues before.
It's not really stuck to the gum. Part of the root filling was removed and the position is extended into the root canal. If he fell twice he can not be properly mounted or position can be quite long. It must be at least half the length of the root. A second opinion may not be a bad idea. Good luck.
